Having donned a number of negative roles, there’s no doubt in saying Anupam Kher does the bad guy characterextremely well. However is seems that he has his heart set on playing a very particular type of villain that he has never played before.

Despite not being comfortable in doing remakes,NDTV reported the actor stating he does have one exception, “I am not in favour of doing any role of anybody on-screen again because I think the roles I have played so far were perfect, according to the situation and the career that time. But if I get a chance and if ‘Mr India’ (1987)is made again, then I would like to do Mogambo’s role.”

Playing the originalcharacter was the very iconic Amrish Puri whose famous one-liner ‘Mogambo khush hoowaa’ is still one of the most memorable dialogues to date. Feeling that he wil never be able to create the same magic that Puri did with this character, Kher went onto say he would portray the character in his own way. “I would love to do it with a different dimension because I feel it is impossible to give the same dimension to the character as given by Amrish Puri,” he added.

Kher is very well known for his villainous characters, however his most memorable negative role was Dr Dang in the Dilip Kumar starrer ‘Karma’ (1986).
