Anil Kapoor expecting bigger success for ‘Welcome Back’ on TV

As Anees Bazmee’s ‘Welcome Back’ (2015) stars makes it way on to the small screen, actor Anil Kapoor feels, that like it’s prequel, the film will be appreciated more at peoples homes that it did on the big screen.

” ‘Welcome’ (2007) was a bigger hit on TV. Despite faring well at the box office, I have heard people have watched it multiple times on television. I expect a similar impact for the sequel. It is a hard-core family entertainer that will appeal to a cross section of audiences.,”��Times of India reported Kapoor explaining.

Talking about his own comical character in the film, the actor went on to say, “Comedy demands more effort than any other genre. The dialogues that we have in ‘Welcome Back’ are integral to my camaraderie with Nana Patekar.��And, to make those dialogues sound natural, it needs a lot of conviction. In this movie, laughter is not an imposition but an outcome of a great script.”

The film also stars John Abraham, Shruti Hassan, and Paresh Rawal.
