Amrita Singh miffed at untrue rumours of daughter’s debut

Recently, a leading daily held a news story that Amrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan’s daughter, Sara,��was going to make her debut with Yash Raj Films. Singh has since spoken out about the piece, denying any truth in the matter.

As reported by Times of India, Singh very frankly stated, “The news is incorrect. For heaven’s sake, please leave my children alone… I’m the one doing a film with that production house. Not my daughter”. Singh went on to add that if Sara decides to make a debut in B-town, it would be in four years time after she has gone abroad to study law.

Singh went on to comment on reports a few weeks ago about an unfortunate encounter between herself and Khan’s fiancee, Kareena Kapoor. She clarified, “There are around 50 make-up rooms spread over some two floors and umpteen artistes are shooting at any given point of time. Some journalist did call to ask me if I was aware of Kareena’s presence in the studio around the time I was there…”

She also added, “It may make for great copy for you guys to speculate on our personal lives. But there has to be some truth to a situation for you to start reporting”.
