Amitabh-Rishi starrer ‘Mehrunnisa’ ready to go on floors

Although Sudhir Mishra has been ready with ‘Mehrunnisa’ for some time, BizAsia can confirm that the film is now ready to get started.

Talking to Deccan Chronicle, a source confirmed, “Amitabhji is all set to begin shooting for the film. He was busy with Prakash Jha�۪s Satyagraha for a long time, but is now ready to devote time for his next project. Satyagraha was shot extensively in Bhopal and this film will take him to the bylanes of Lucknow”.

It seems Rishi Kapoor, who is also a part of the project, is currently busy with other films. However, the source continues to divulge, “Rishiji is has been on roll for the past few months now, but he isn�۪t showing any signs of tiredness. In fact, he admits that it is the best phase of his 40-year-long career”.

No doubt audiences will be excited to see these two actors on screen together in a story which they play friends whose lives change when a female enters the equation.
