Amitabh Bachchan confirmed for ‘Aankhen 2’

As reported by��BizAsia earlier this year, director Anees Bazmee announced��that he had been roped in to direct the much-awaited sequel to ‘Aankhen’ (2002). ��While the filmmaker had also announced that a fresh cast, consisting of Anil Kapoor and John Abraham, has been finalised, it has now been confirmed that Amitabh Bachchan will be retained from the original cast.

Speaking to Absolute India, Bazmee said, “Amitji has confirmed that he’ll be part of the ‘Aankhen’ sequel last week. ��My producer Gaurang Doshi informed me about it. ��I had a meeting with Amitji few months back where I had narrated the basic storyline and his character. ��I always had a dream to work with him.”

Shooting for the film is expected to start later this year.
