Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Aankhen’ (2002) is finally gearing up for a sequel. Anees Bazmee will be directing the second part and Bachchan will be a part of it as well. Jackie Chan is also reportedly in consideration for a role in the film.
Mirror reports a source saying, “Amit ji liked the script and has given his nod to the project. Anees has begun prep and will start shooting in 2019. The team is targeting an early 2020 release. And since the story revolves around a casino this time owned by a Chinese, the makers are considering Jackie Chan for the part.” Eros International and Tarun Agarwal are producing the sequel, and an official spokesperson from the production house confirmed Bachchan’s casting.
It is to be seen as to who else will be cast with Bachchan. Sushant Singh Rajput and Vicky Kaushal’s names have been thrown around, but nothing has been confirmed.
