Amitabh Bachchan awarded Social Media Person of the Year

With the world of social network bringing stars closer to their fans than ever, it’s always interesting to see who does what with which platform. However some do it better than others and according to the’ Internet and Mobile Association of India’,��nobody does it better than Amitabh Bachchan, who has been awarded the Social Media Person of the Year award.

As a part of his social network, Bachchan takes to blogging in his own��Blog as a way of expressing himself. Through his blog he announced the great news, “There is an association of social media for India the IAMAI…and they reward me with the ‘Social Media Person of the Year’ award and it is time really to reward the Ef (Extended Family) for this… you are the ones that have made it possible for me to be given this recognition.”

The organisation are set to have a grand award ceremony where more personalities will receive their awards. However as the actor won;t be able to make it, they decided to give hime his award personally. “The ceremony is in Delhi, and since I cannot be there, they came over to present it to me and (they will) play a video of it at the function to be held in a few days,” the actor went onto add.

Currently, Bachchan is in the midst of promoting his forthcoming film ‘Shamitabh’, with will also star Dhanush and Akshara Hassan. The film is set to hit the big screens on 6th February.
