Amit Trivedi inspired by Coldplay song for ‘Nazdeekiyaan’ in ‘Shaandaar’?

Popular music composer, Amit Trivedi has been accused of plagiarism after it was reported that the song ‘Nazdeekiyaan’ from ‘Shaandaar’ resembles Coldplay’s track ‘Oceans’.

Earlier, he landed in a spot of bother during the soundtrack release of ‘Lootera’. He was accused of copying a portion of background score from Hollywood film ‘One Day’.

At that time, the director of the film Vikramaditya Motwane said, ���The music of the Lootera teaser trailer hasn�۪t been copied from One Day. The theme is sourced from a small musical bit composed by Amit Trivedi for a song that�۪s in the film, which we decided to expand and turn into a full fledged theme for the trailer.�۝
