Alia Bhatt sustains burn injuries at award ceremony

Alia Bhatt is known to be very dedicated to her craft. She was recently on stage to perform at an award ceremony, but suffered burn injuries during the performance.

According to TOI, Bhatt was supposed to perform live at the ceremony, but due to some delay from the organizers, all the performances were rearranged, and Bhatt had to record her performance instead. Her routine involved firecrackers and one burst midway, in Bhatt’s direction, and she put out her hand to shield herself from it. Bhatt’s left elbow and forearm got burned in the process, but being a thorough professional, she completed her entire performance.

Bhatt took to Twitter to thank fans for their concern. She said:

It isn't possible to go through life accident-free. But, most accidents- like this one – are preventable… FYI my face is fine 😇😇😇

Bhatt will next be seen with Sidharth Malhotra and Fawad Khan in ‘Kapoor and Sons’, slated to release on 18th March, 2016.
