Alia Bhatt out of ‘Rock On’ sequel?

Not long ago, it was being said that Excel Entertainment were keen on signing Alia Bhatt for the sequel to 2008�۪s ��Rock On�۪. Shraddha Kapoor�۪s name was also in the mix for the female lead role. However, now it seems Bhatt has had to back out of the project.

Bhatt, who was a popular choice because of her singing abilities too, is apparently too busy to devote any time to the project. She has Vikas Bahl�۪s ��Shandaar�۪ on the cards as well as Ayan Mukerji�۪s next which will see her opposite Ranbir Kapoor.

It is for this reason that reports are now suggesting that Bhatt is no longer in the running for the film. In fact, Excel Entertainment are thought to be looking for a newcomer for the role now.
