After wowing critics and audiences alike, Alia Bhatt seems to be everyone’s favourite new kid on the block. However, she has been a victim of online abuse where there have been a fair few that haven’t been so kind.

Despite being hurled with a number of nasty remarks through social media, Bhatt being the strong headed girl that she is, has taken it into her stride and shrugged the whole thing off. Talking to the media, Times of India reported the actress stating, “Frankly, I don’t care about it too much and it doesn’t bother me either. As long as I cross people’s mind, irrespective of how they remember me, I think it’s okay with me. ”

“And I also know where it all started from. But it happens with all of us so many times, that in the moment of excitement you end up giving a wrong answer. That’s what happened with me and people just made such a big thing out of it, blowing it out of proportion,” she went onto add.

After lending her voice for a song in Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Highway’ (2013), many wondered weather she would take up singing full time as well. When asked about this, she explained, “I am very serious. I am also thinking of cutting an album, when it will happen is still not decided. But it will happen eventually. I am only 22 and am still trying to prove myself as an actor. I think I still have a lot of time at hand to do different things. I don’t want to divert my attention too much from my acting career at this point.”

Bhatt’s next release will see her sharing the screen space with Varun Dhawan in ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhunia’ on 11th July.
