Alia Bhatt is happy for Sidharth Malhotra

After their Bollywood debut together in 2012, rumoured couple Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt are all set to be seen together again in ‘Kapoor & Sons’. Bhatt is happy that Malhotra will be seen in a character removed from his intense image.

Speaking to PTI, Bhatt said, “I��was very happy for him that he was improvising to play the lighter role. I have seen this side of an intense and brooding type and not seen him playing a lighter role. I think it is a new take on his career, for sure.”

However, the actress chooses not to clarify their real life status as a couple, having��said, “I have made it very clear that he (Sidharth) is a very close friend of mine and shall remain as such.”

Directed by Shakun Batra and produced by Karan Johar, ‘Kapoor & Sons’ releases on 18th March. Besides Malhotra and Bhatt, the film also stars Fawad Khan and Rishi Kapoor.
