Alia Bhatt confirmed opposite Salman Khan in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next

After weeks of rumours about Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next starring Salman Khan, it has finally been confirmed that Alia Bhatt will accompany the superstar in ‘Inshallah’.

Bhatt was rumoured to have taken up the role yesterday after she was spotted at Bhansali’s office. Taking to Twitter, Bhatt said, ” was 9 when I first walked into Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s office, all nervous and hoping and praying that I would be in his next film. It’s been a long wait.” She added, “Dream with your eyes wide open they say & I did. Sanjay Sir and Salman Khan are magical together & I can’t wait to join them on this beautiful journey called Inshallah.”

Meanwhile, Khan said, “It’s been 20 years but I am glad Sanjay and I are finally back in his next film, Inshallah. Looking forward to work with Alia and inshallah we will all be blessed on this journey.#Inshallah #SLB”

Prior to Bhatt, many other actresses were linked to the project including Anushka Sharma, Deepika Padukone, Janhvi Kapoor and Khan’s recommendation, Katrina Kaif.

The film will be a co-production between Salman Khan Films and Bhansali Productions.
