‘Kesari’ released yesterday, starring Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra. Reportedly, the former has signed another film with the film’s director Anurag Singh.
It’s thought that the film will be another based on a real life story, as Asian Age reports. “The film is based on a story that took place in the late eighties. Interestingly, the film has been written by writer Aseem Arora, who had written the television series 21 Sarfarosh —Saragarhi 1897 starring Mohit Raina,” explained a source.
‘Kesari’ has started off great at the box office. The trade source adds, “The collections are stunning, to say the least. One has to remember that on Holi, there are no morning shows as many multiplexes and single screens do not want to take any risk. In that sense, a collection of Rs 21.5 crore is a great number. Add to that, it is not a Friday. There is a lot of deshbhakti attached to the film that is ringing in with the audiences”.
