Akshay Kumar influenced by friends for ‘Rustom’ character
Playing a role based on a real person comes with more challenges than that of a fictional character. However, it seems Akshay Kumar found reprising a certain aspect of the role of Parsi Navy Officer,Kawas Manekshaw Nanavati, slightly less challenging thanks to a few of his close knit circle.
“I have lots of friends who are Parsis. One of my best friends in school was a Parsi. My manager is also a Parsi. So I have a lot of Parsi friends and I know people from the community. Therefore, it wasn’t a difficult role to portray,”NDTV reported the actor expressing.
‘Rustom’ is based around the trial of Nanavati, for the murder of his wife’s lover Prem Ahuja, and Ahuja’s sister fighting against him. The trailers of the film have been accepted with much applause and it seems Kumar won’t fail to impress.
Set to hit the big screens on 12th August, the film also starsIleana D’Cruz, Esha Gupta, Arjan Bajwa and Pavan Malhotra.
