Ajay Devgn has reportedly been approached for a film based Neeraj Pandey’s ‘Ghalib Danger’ novel.

The film rights have been acquired by Abundantia Entertainment, an independent banner recently floated by Vikram Malhotra.

Mumbai Mirror reports that the gangster film is based in the 60s and ends in 2015-2016. It revolves around a young cabbie, Kamran Ali, who saves the life of Mirza, a mafia don. Ali slowly gets drawn into Mirza’s murky world and eventually not only inherits his throne but also his philosophy that all of life’s problems can be solved through Mirza Ghalib’s poetry. In the process he acquires the pseudonym ‘Ghalib Danger’.

Devgn who has previously starred in gangster flick ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai’ is looking like a contender to play the role of Sultan Mirza. Neeraj refused to comment on the casting but told the publication, “It’ll be an ensemble cast with A-listers and my don is a complete work of fiction, drawn from a collage of press reports.”
