Ajay Devgn intervened for no cuts to ‘Parched’

Ajay Devgn apparently intervened to support the certification of Leena Yadav�۪s upcoming film ��Parched�۪.

The bold film focussing on women�۪s struggles in India, was met with resistance from the Censor Board Of Film Certification (CBFC) who wanted to make cuts and certify it as ��Adults�۪ due to the strong sexual language being deemed unsuitable for a younger audience.

It is here where apparently Devgn, producer of the film, requested the Information & Broadcasting Ministry to intervene and speak to the CBFC in order for the film to be passed without any cuts and certified as ��UA�۪, which was eventually passed.

However, following recent reports on the director receiving death threats from the Rabari community in Gujarat, a government BJP party member from Gujarat has now filed for a Public Interest Litigation report against the film, questioning the film�۪s content and language.

It looks like the controversies surrounding ��Parched�۪ (2016) will still continue to rumble with the latest reported developments.
