Aishwarya Rai Bachchan bonds with Rekha at event

Since the time Aishwarya Rai Bachchan noted Rekha as ‘maa’ at the Stardust Awards 2016 there have been several questions raised as to why Bachchan said the same in front of the entire Bollywood fraternity. Few even linked Bachchan’s kind words for the veteran with her alleged love for Amitabh Bachchan.

Meanwhile, according to PTI, a source close to Bachchan revealed the close bond the actress shares with Rekha since past many years. The source said, “Rekha ji and Aishwarya share a great bond in real life and latter always considered her a motherly figure. Also Rekha being a legendary Bollywood actress, Aishwarya never forgets to pay her the kindest gestures.”

Aishwarya was presented with the ‘Power Packed Performer Award’ at the Stardust Awards 2016 for her brilliant work in Sanjay Gupta’s ‘Jazbaa’ (2015) from Rekha. She said, “It’s great to receive it from maa.”

Rekha too replied her in an equally overwhelming manner as she said, “I hope I can give it to you for many more years.”
