Aishwarya on #MeToo: “I am speaking now, & I will continue to speak”

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has recently talked about the recent #MeToo movement which as finally hit Bollywood. Talking at a L’Oreal event, the actress said she’s very supportive of it.

“I have always spoken out, I spoke in the past, I am speaking now, and I will continue to speak,” said Rai Bachchan, as quoted by Hindustan Times.

She continued, “When it comes to helping women find their voice, find the strength, feel confident about sharing their stories, it’s not about the current time. This has been going on since a lot of time and I am glad it has found a certain momentum today.”

Rai Bachchan’s comments will definitely resonate as she is one of the few mainstream actors to have spoken out.
