AIIMS issues a statement over Dr Sudhir Gupta’s suicide theory in Sushant’s death

AIIMS has issued a statement after one of its forensic experts, Dr Sudhir Gupta released details of the re-assessment of Sushant Singh Rajput’s postmortem and other reports that had stated his death was of “suicide” and no foul play was observed.

The statement from AIIMS said, “A Medical Board was constituted by Dr. Sudhir K Gupta, Professor & Head, Department of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology, AIIMS, New Delhi as per request received by him from CBI for providing expert opinion in the case relating to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. The medical board has submitted the report directly to the CBI as required. Being a legal matter, any inputs on the report submitted by the Medical Board would have to be obtained from the CBI.”

Republic also reported that the CBI has not ruled out the homicide angle in the case – all angles are being looked into with great detail.
