Aditya Chopra removed Arijit Singh’s ‘Sultan’ song?

Arijit Singh 1

Salman Khan and Arijit Singh have been reported recently to be at loggerheads. Nothing was known about the troubled equation until Singh took to Facebook in a post dedicated to Khan pleading with him not to remove his song Jag Ghoomeya from the forthcoming ‘Sultan’, produced by Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films (YRF). However, certain reports suggested a few days ago that Singh was asking Chopra to try and help him make amends with Khan but now it’s emerged that Khan may not have been responsible for Singh’s song’s removal from the soundtrack.

Interestingly, an unnamed actress has been quoted by TOI revealing the real situation which is very different to all the reports that have been doing the rounds. “Why is Aditya Chopra letting Salman Khan take the flak for the Arijit Singh controversy? It wasn۪t Salman who had Arijit۪s song ‘Jag Ghoomeya’ dropped from Sultan. It was a creative decision taken by the production house. Contrary to what Arijit keeps harping about, the actor has moved on long back. He۪s not petty and would never play politics with somebody۪s career. All it would take is a statement from the production house to clear Salman۪s name in this matter. But he is not the kind of person to tell them to do so,” said the actress.

It seems that Chopra and the team of ‘Sultan’ may well be the culprits but one wonders why they seem to be happy with Khan getting the flak if it is in fact them who made the decision to retain the version of Jag Ghoomeya which has been sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.

‘Sultan’ also stars Anushka Sharma, Randeep Hooda and Amit Sadh. It’s directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and slated for release next moth.
