There’s no doubt in saying that Aditi Rao Hydari is making her mark within the Indian film industry. With the success of ‘Wazir’ (2015) giving her huge applause, the actress has spoken now about her next release.

Set to be seen in Sudhir Mishra’s own adaptation of ‘Devdas’ (1917) with a modern twist, the actress caught up with the media to talk about her role in the film titled, ‘Aur Devdas’. As reported byFilmfare, Hydari explained, “I play the modern version of Chandramukhi Chandni. She۪s a college dropout and gets enamoured by the world of politics and power. It۪s the story of Devdas told through Chandni۪s eyes.”

This will be Hydari’s second time teamingup with Mishra. Talking about working on this film, she went onto say, “Sudhir sir can put you in a situation that you can۪t imagine. It shakes you up. You experience an adrenaline high when you read the scene. Chandramukhi۪s the other woman. I found that interesting.”

“On the first day I told Sudhir sir, I feel like I۪ve been thrown deep into the sea. I don۪t know anything.۪ But after my first shot Sudhir sir went up to our cinematographer Sachin Krishn and said, Humari bachchi badi ho gayi hai۪,” she added.

‘Aur Devdas’ also stars Richa Chadda and Rahul Bhatt.
