‘Aashiqui 2’ touted for Valentines Day release

Mukesh Bhatt is planning to lock the release date of ‘Aashiqui 2’ for February next year, around Valentines Day.

The film, which goes on the floors next month is directed by Mohit Suri and stars Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapoor.

When talking to IANS, producer, Bhatt said, “We intend to release it on Valentine`s Day because it is a love story. We won`t be in a hurry. When we feel the film is ready and when we are happy with our product, we will fix our release date.”

Even though ‘Aashiqui 2’ is a sequel to the 1990 romantic-musical ‘Aashiqui’ – it is unlikely there will be any references to the first part that starred Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal.
