Aanand L Rai to sign Salman Khan for next?

Although earlier this week, it was reported that Ranbir Kapoor was possibly going to be working in Aanand L Rai’s forthcoming project, the news has since moved on. Now, BizAsia has come to know that Salman Khan may well be playing male lead and he may also turn co-producer for the film.

Rai told Mumbai Mirror, “I have a story that’s waiting to be told. The setting maybe a small city but the story is big. It’s a massive project and I want everything to fall into place.” It is thought that Rai and Khan have already had a few meetings.

The film is also set to have a Hollywood touch what with a VFX expert already roped in for it, as confirmed by Rai, “George Murphy will collaborate with me on this project. However, it is too early to comment more on this project.”

Understandably, Rai will be sticking to a love story this time too and it will be a project he works on before the sequel of 2011’s ‘Tanu Weds Manu’.
