Aanand L Rai signs Imran Khan & Shruti Haasan

Aanand L Rai, who is currently busy with promotions of ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’, will soon turn producer with an untitled project starring Imran Khan and Shruti Haasan.

The film is said to be a remake of the Tamil comedy, ‘Kalayana Samayal Saadam’ (2013) and reunites Khan and Haasan onscreen, who were last seen together in Haasan’s debut film, ‘Luck’ (2008). ��RS Prasanna, who directed the original in Tamil, will be directing the Bollywood version too.

Though a release date has not been announced, shooting for the film begins towards the end of this year and it may be releasing in 2016.

It can be noted that on the directing front, L Rai’s next film will feature Dhanush.
