Aamir Khan: “My kids have to audition even for my home productions”

Aamir Khan’s son Junaid has been immersing himself in theatre acting for the past few years, but his father is not willing to produce a film to launch him just yet.

In an interview with DNA, Khan said he would base his decision to cast Junaid only on merit, “If there is a subject suitable for him and if he passed the audition, then I would consider it. However, Junaid has not approached me for anything like this.” According to him, daughter Ira hasn’t spoken to Khan about entering Bollywood either.

His youngest Azad will have to follow the same rules, he said. “Yaar, I haven’t thought of any of this. Frankly, if my casting director suggests it and if Azad passes the audition, it could happen. My kids have to audition even for my home productions.”

Khan recently announced his next film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, which is based on ‘Forrest Gump’ (1994), and is currently busy preparing for the role.
