Hrithik Roshan to replace Ranveer Singh at IPL opening ceremony?

Hrithik Roshan will reportedly step in to perform at the IPL opening ceremony after Ranveer Singh sustained a shoulder injury and has been advised bed rest by doctors.

The Indian Premier League launches  next week with the likes of Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Singh due to perform at the opening ceremony, However, Singh’s recent shoulder injury has made it difficult for the ‘Padmaavat’ (2018) star to perform, reports Pinkvilla.  Sources say Roshan will be stepping in and will be seen performing in place of Singh.

Meanwhile, SIngh’s spokesperson confirmed his shoulder injury and in a statement said, “Ranveer Singh has injured his shoulder during a football match and has been advised not to over strain it for at least 1 month. Ranveer is, however, not taking any breaks and will continue shooting for Gully Boy as per schedule. Ranveer is in consultation with the doctors who will advice him, in a day or two, on whether he would able to perform at this year’s IPL opening ceremony in which he is doing the finale act.”

Meanwhile, Singh will next be seen in the movie, ‘Gully Boy,’ which is slated to release in February 2019. Ranveer will also be seen in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Simmba’ opposite Sara Ali Khan. ‘Simmba’ is slated to release on December 28, 2018. Roshan is super busy shooting for ‘Super 30.’
