Kabir Khan says his films are still relevant to today’s times

Director Kabir Khan has made many films that have taken place during an older timeline. While the films may have a different decade in the story, Khan says all his films are relevant to today’s times.

Khan is directing Ranveer Singh in his film on the 1983 World Cup, which he says was the start of the ‘Indian Premier League’ (IPL). As according to Bombay Times, Khan said, “Even if my films are set in the past, no matter what genre, they are all relevant, today. The film is about how the 1983 WC made cricket what it is in India, today; because if it wasn’t for that win, there would be no IPL in India.”

Khan’s last film was ‘Tubelight’ (2017), that failed to garner attention at the box office.
