’83’ receives standing ovation at Red Sea International Festival

Ranveer Singh’s highly anticipated film ”83′ had its world premiere at the Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah earlier this week. And after the film finished, there was a standing ovation from the audience.

Videos were shared on Twitter of the film receiving a standing ovation with one user commenting, “Standing ovation and applauds at the end of the movie premiere of 83 staring @RanveerOfficial and @deepikapadukone at the Red Sea Film Festival. Kudos to @kabirkhankk and the team for the brilliant work. And the man himself Kapil Dev for his performance in 1983.”

Kabir Khan directed the film that revolves around India’s historic 1983 World Cup win, reports Box Office Worldwide. Singh steps into the shoes of legendary captain, Kapil Dev.

Produced by Khan, Deepika Padukone, Vishnu Vardhan Induri, Sajid Nadiadwala, Sheetal Vinod Talwar, Reliance Entertainment, and 83 Film Ltd – the film release this Christmas after mega delays owing to the current pandemic.
