Sunrise Radio picks up BAM’s Station of the Year award

Sunrise Radio has been awarded the coveted Asian Radio Station of the Year 2020 at the British Asian Media Awards.

Tony Lit MBE, Managing Director of Sunrise Radio said: “Thanks so much to BAM for this award, it’s amazing to be recognized for the work we do. 2020 has been a year like none other we have experienced and the global pandemic has had a devastating effect on many families, businesses and the global economy. My team and I know that Sunrise is at the heart of the British Asian community and we worked extremely hard throughout this period to ensure that Sunrise was consistent in its programming, also making sure that its popular presenters remained on-air, some broadcasting from home, offering a calming and friendly voice to their loyal listeners, providing beautiful music and entertainment but also ensuring that everyone was kept up to date on the latest government guidelines with regards to Coronavirus.
