Zoya Akhtar confirms working on idea for ‘ZNMD 2’

2011 film ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ was a hit for various reasons. Director Zoya Akhtar has been asked about a sequel many times and she’s finally admitted that she’s working on something.#

“I get asked this a lot. Trust me, I am dying to work with Hrithik again, and with Farhan, Abhay, Katrina and Kalki once again. They are special to me. In fact, Hrithik and Farhan are my boys, I can’t wait to work with them again. But I can’t make a sequel just to capitalise on something. It has to work as a story within itself. When I get an idea on what to do with it, that will make it unique without the prequel, only then will I make it. I am working on something already, so let’s see,” said Akhtar, as quoted by Cineblitz.

There is a suggestion that the story would continue where the first film ended and this means the original cast is likely to come together for something else.
