Zing UK to launch daily live request show

ZEE Network UK has confirmed that it will be launching an innovative daily request show called ‘Jukebox Live’.

As part of its plans to beef up local content across its network, the show will air on Zing from next week. It will be a host-led show with viewers being able to select from a number of available music videos. The show is being scheduled in an early-evening weekday slot.

ZEE Network UK has invested big monies into its local live transmission output and after the stomping success of ‘ZEE Companion’ on ZEE TV UK, this will be the first live show on Zing. Details are set to officially be announced later this week by the company.

Talking exclusively to BizAsia in our new segment ‘Quick Biz’, Neeraj Dhingra, CEO of ZEE UK/Europe said, “We are adding some local content to connect with the Brit Asian audience and help further increase the viewership. This will add to the already popular content on our channel. There will be shows like ��Zing Top 10? and ��Brit Beatz�۪. Plus, we�۪re launching the first live Asian request show called ��Jukebox Live�۪ from our London studios.”

Zing UK is undergoing some of the biggest changes in its history with the return of British Asian music in a strand called ‘Brit Beatz’, cookery shows, daily drama and horror shows and further emphasis on Bollywood content.
