Zing to add cookery, dramas & horror from February
In an effort to broaden the appeal of its channel, Zing has confirmed more new shows it will be adding to its schedule from February.
In a first of its kind initiative, Zing will launch a new fiction show with food at its centre. ‘Khaane Bhi Do Yaaron’ is unlike any other current food show on Asian television in this genre. Conceptualized as a food fiction show, it is based on characters and stories with food playing the lead role. Chef Pranav Joshi, will showcase recipes, in a fresh and contemporary format. This first of its kind show will premiere on Saturday 7th February at 18:30.
The second food related show ‘Snack Attack’ launching on the channel will be an instructional cooking show where Chef Ranveer uses everyday ingredients and gives it a snack attack twist. He makes interesting, quick, easy snack recipes for all to enjoy ��� catch an immense variety and explosion of flavours of snacks ��� from sweet, sour, salty, spicy, bitter to astringent, Sundays at 18:30.
The channel will also be showing ZEE TV’s popular horror show ‘Fear Files’ at 23:00 every weeknight. ‘Pyar Tune Kya Kiya’ – Zing’s young love story show will also air weekdays at 18:30.
This follows on from the addition of Bhangra and Brit-Asian music with ‘Brit Beatz’ and the new looks of Zing�۪s Bollywood music shows ‘Latest Hits’ and ‘Rise & Shine ��� Bollywood Beats’ ��� all from February.
Rumour also has it that the channel will be launching a local request type show in February, which will be announced soon.
