ZEE’s English news channel to launch in Feb/March

ZEE Network’s Chairman, Dr. Subhash Chandra has confirmed that it will be launching the English ZEE News channel towards the end of the current fiscal.

As cited in TelevisionPoint, Chandra said, ���The channel will be launched in February���March.”

Chandra refused to get in a discussion about a possible tie-up with CNN. He said, ���I don�۪t want to say anything about that at this point.”

Previously, Chandra said that the English news channel would be positioned as a technology-driven news channel. He said, ���We are about to launch an English news channel. We were discussing the whole technological engine we are going to use. I understood what technology my colleagues wanted to introduce in the news space.”
