ZEE5 adds Urdu shows to its library from Zindagi channel

ZEE5 has for the first time added Urdu shows to its content line-up.

The streaming giant, will make available shows from its now defunct Zindagi channel, which previously aired Pakistani, Brazilian, Turkish and Korean content in Hindi. The channel closed down in 2017 and moved online. However, in the wake of the Uri attacks in India, ZEEL made a company decision to axe all Pakistani content from all of its services.

While the collection of Urdu shows are low due to limited rights, ZEE5 is streaming the following shows, ‘Aunn Zara’, ‘Shehr-e-Zaat’, ‘Noorpur ki Rani’, ‘Main Abdul Qadir Hoon’, ‘Mastana Mahi’ and ‘Badi Aapa’.
