ZEE UK only media company to be named in Grant Thornton’s Tracker report

Grant Thornton UK in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry has recognized Asia TV Limited in its fastest-growing Indian companies in Britain ranking, based on a growth rate of 19%, Asia TV limited a subsidiary of ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Limited, is a global content company reaching 1.3 billion+ viewers around the world.

In the year gone by, the pandemic has exerted a heavy toll around the world. Recognition in 2021 further cements Asia TV Limited (ZEE) as a resilient, leading, content and media company in the UK. Since its launch in the UK on 1st March 1995, ZEE is a household name in the UK with its entertainment offering and over a million viewers. In the UK, ZEE’s offerings include ZEE TV, ZEE Cinema and ZEE5 – the global streaming app, which has become immensely popular in the territory for its quality content and user experience.

This is the eighth edition of the Grant Thornton India meets Britain Tracker. The Tracker identifies the fastest-growing Indian companies in the UK. It provides insight into the evolving scale, business activities, locations and performance of the Indian-owned companies who are making the biggest impact in the UK.

The 2021 research identified 850 Indian companies operating in the UK, with combined revenues of £50.8 billion, up from £41.2 billion in 2020. Together, they employed 116,046 people, up from 110,793 in 2020, and paid £459.2 million in corporation tax, down slightly from £461.8 million in 2020.
