ZEE UK ‘News’ shifted to make way for drama

ZEE TV UK has been in the process of adding original shows in various day parts to attract new viewers.

To consolidate this strategy further, ZEE TV’s weeknight daily bulletin, which currently occupies the 19:00 slot, will be shifted to 18:30 (same time as weekend). The reason for this is to mark the debut of its much awaited serial ‘Ardhangini’.

‘Ardhangini’ was due to start in India last week but was halted because the channel was unhappy with canned episodes. The programme goes live on ZEE TV India on Monday 29th October. It launches in the UK the following Monday (5th November).

‘Ardhangini’ will air Monday through to Thursday at 19:00, this will then see the daily news bulletin moved to 18:30. Another change will be the switch of ‘Parivaar’, which currently airs at 18:30 – this will move to 22:30. ‘Har Ghar Kuch Hota Hai’ will become an afternoon outing at 14:30. This will result in three original shows being aired during the afternoon along with ‘Meri Doli Tere Angna’ and ‘Rakhi’.
