ZEE UK to launch Living Foodz around March-end

ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Limited is set to launch the UK’s first Indian food channel, Living Foods within weeks, BizAsiaLive.com can exclusively reveal.

Sources have told BizAsiaLive.com that Living Foodz is nearing its launch on the Sky platform and a date will be announced soon. It is expected to be added to the Sky EPG line-up towards the end of March or beginning of April, subject to Sky testing. The broadcaster has already firmed up its programming output and is expected to add a number of local shows to localise the feed of the channel. Living Foodz has also finalised its EPG slot.

Having food at its core, Living Foodz will explore different perspectives towards food and the way it touches people – from lifestyle, travel, wellness to food infotainment and reality. Living Foodz boasts of celebrity chefs and food personalities like Ranveer Brar, Gautam Mehrishi, Rocky & Mayur, Vicky Ratnani, Kunal Kapur, Rakhee Vaswani through their different shows.

As revealed first on BizAsiaLive.com in December, ZEE had obtained its licence to launch Living Foodz in the UK from Ofcom. Living Foodz will go head-to-head with Pakistani food channel, Hum Masala, which has proved a runaway success since its launch last year.
