A Plus programmes to air on UK channels?

ZEE Network in the UK is toying with the idea of adding Pakistani dramas to its channels in the coming weeks.

While sources at ZEE Network have denied the story, BizAsia understands that if the shows get sufficient amount of interest from sponsors then the shows could be launched on flagship channel ZEE TV and free-to-air service Lamhe by next month.

BizAsia sources have got to know that content from Pakistani entertainment channel, A Plus could be launched on ZEE Network channels, or possibly going to Rishtey/Colors as its deal with Hum TV comes to an end. This is yet to be confirmed.

It seems like UK Asian broadcasters are quite keen to add Pakistani dramas to their schedule after the success of Hum TV dramas like ‘Humsafar’ on Rishtey and Colors. BizAsia has already confirmed that Hum TV will be launching in the UK by March on the Sky Digital platform.
