ZEE TV’s ‘Pavitra Rishta’ set to bid adieu soon

ZEE TV’s long running fiction ‘Pavitra Rishta’ will soon bidding adieu to viewers due to its plummeting ratings.

DNA reports that the show is expected to be replaced with another Ekta Kapoor offering. ‘Pavitra Rishta’ has been running since 2009 but has had its fair share of problems after the exit of lead actor Sushant Singh Rajput and entry of Hiten Tejwani in 2011.

“Nothing has been decided yet but the show (Pavitra Rishta) might go off air soon. Though nothing is fixed yet it might be replaced by another show by Ekta Kapoor,” the source told IANS.

Lead actress Ankita Lokhande has reportedly expressed her desire to leave at many occasions.

It remains to be seen when the axe will finally fall on one of Indian television’s longest shows.
