ZEE TV’s ‘Lil Champs’ final rockets to top of charts

ZEE TV’s ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ hunt for young talented singers in its last series ‘Lil Champs’ has garnered huge ratings for the channel.

The grand finale, which was telecast on Saturday 28th October fetched the channel a whooping 11.1 TVR in the ratings, making the show the highest rated programme in the entire GEC segment.

Furthermore, the channel has trounced rival STAR Plus’ flagship show ‘Kyunki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ in the ratings. The soap could only manage an average of 10.1 TVR.

The performance of ‘Lil Champs’ gave ZEE TV a reach of 30% taking the channel to 350 GRPs for that week. STAR Plus lead the pack with 454 GRPs. Sony Entertainment Television Asia trailed behind at 151 GRPs.

Its worth noting that it was ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ series ‘Challenge 2005’ that help changed the fortunes of ZEE TV earlier this year. The channel has been going from strength to strength ever since.
