ZEE TV’s ‘Ek Mutthi Aasman’ is witnessing some of the biggest changes since its inception.

ZEE TV confirmed to BizAsia that Asha Negi will be joining the show as the female protagonist, while other characters will be killed off.

Undergoing certain track changes, Kalpi (played by Rachna Parulkar) and Raghav Singhania (played by Ashish Chowdhry) will be seen meeting with a car accident which has been plotted by Pooki (played by Shirina Singh). While Kalpi survives with burns on her face and a memory loss, she undergoes a plastic surgery. While Kalpi is blessed with a new life, Raghav dies on the spot and Pookhi ends up getting jailed for the crime she has committed. Coming back to life, Kalpi has a new face and a new name and playing the new Kalpi aka Suhana is Asha Negi.

Talking about her character, Asha said, I۪m glad to be back with my second stint on Zee TV. The character I play in the show is of Suhana. Suhana is a girl who has recently survived a huge car accident and has no recall of the past, owing to her memory loss. It۪s interesting how the makers of the show have charted out the transition in my character who was earlier Kalpi but post the accident starts her life with another family as Suhana. I am sure the audience is going to love the new track on the show and will enjoy watching my character.۝

Asha۪s quite kicked about her modern look on the show. In contrast to her demure look as Purvi in ‘Pavitra Rishta’, you۪ll see Asha in more trendy, younger outfits, hip casualwear and looking way more smashing than ever before.

While there are a lot of new developments in the show, the storyline of the show will now focus on the trials being faced by Kamla Bai (played by Shilpa Shirodkar), who has lost a daughter. We hope Asha۪s fans are just as happy as we are to have her back and we hope they love her new avatar and look and shower her with as much love as they did earlier.
