ZEE TV & ZEE Cinema to begin BARB reporting this month

ZEE TV and ZEE Cinema will begin reporting its first official audience figures in the UK for the first time later this month.

BizAsiaLive.com can confirm that the two major channels, along with ZEE Punjabi have signed up to BARB for official reporting from Monday 24th July 2017. This will no doubt be the network’s biggest test to officially prove its position in the UK market.

ZEE TV was the first Asian player on satellite television in the UK and has since been perceived as the oldest and most popular Asian TV channel. But as old players like ZEE TV and Sony Entertainment have unable to report official data, Star Plus has dominated the UK market for years. Whether ZEE TV will be able to break the hold Star Plus in the UK, remains to be seen.

ZEE TV, ZEE Cinema and ZEE Punjabi join the Sky Original Pack from Tuesday 1st August 2017.
