'Gohar-E-Nayab' to launch on ZEE TV UK in March
'Gohar-E-Nayab' to launch on ZEE TV UK in March

ZEE TV will be the latest Indian entertainment channel in the UK to launch an Urdu drama serial.

After the success in the ratings witnessed by Rishtey and Colors with Hum TV (Pakistan) shows, ZEE TV has joined hands with Pakistani broadcaster, A-Plus to air content in the UK.

As already exclusively revealed by BizAsia a few weeks ago, ZEE TV UK will launch its Pakistani fictions in a weekend slot in mid-March. The first show that will air will be ‘Gohar-E-Nayab’, which originally aired on A-Plus end of last year. The drama has been pitted in the weekend 21:00 slot.

Like Hum TV, which is now ready to launch in the UK as a standalone channel in March on the back of ratings success on Rishtey, it will be interesting to see if the experiment works for ZEE TV UK too. Will this pave the way for A-Plus to launch in already saturated UK market? Let’s wait and watch.
