ZEE TV UK cuts ‘ZEE Companion’ down to 30-minutes

In an effort to boost its ratings in the UK, ZEE TV has decided to tweak its primetime programming by shifting its local lifestyle show ‘ZEE Companion’ out of the current 18:00 slot to 17:30 – cutting it down by 30 minutes.

The channel, which has been facing an uphill task in UK ratings, will begin its fictions earlier at 18:00, Currently, the channel broadcasts its fictions from 19:00, however, from Monday 6th November, ZEE TV UK will completely change its weekday line-up.

‘ZEE Companion’, which has undergone a face-lift recently, has not generated the desired ratings. This is the first major change for ‘ZEE Companion’, which has been sitting in the 18:00 slot (60 minutes) since it launched in 2015. With this change, it seems ZEE TV will attempt to build its ratings based on fictions from India and move away from its local programming strategy.
