ZEE TV UK announces big schedule changes

ZEE TV UK will be revamping its primetime schedule this month with the launch of two new shows.

The biggest change on the channel will be the shift of popular show ‘Qubool Hai’ from primetime to 17:30. The two new shows starting on the channel are ‘Sarojini – Ek Nayi Pehal’ and ‘Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani’.

‘Sarojini’ traces the journey of the lead protagonist – a strong, well-educated girl who gets married into a family with a regressive patriarchal set up – a household governed, dominated and practically ruled by her over-bearing, chauvinistic father-in-law Dushyant. Refusing to cow down to his controlling ways like the rest of his bahus, Sarojini takes the challenge head on and strives for a healthy balance of power and influence in the household, leveraging education to her advantage. It stars Mohit Sehgal and Shiny Doshi. ‘Sarojini’ will launch on Tuesday 21st July at 20:30 on ZEE TV UK.

‘Ek Tha Raj Ek Thi Rani’ is a journey of Gayatri from being a girl with no future since she is a manglik to becoming queen of Ranaji’s hearts and of the people of the land. It stars Siddhant Karnick and Drashti Dhami. ‘Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani’ will launch on Tuesday 28th July at 19:30 on ZEE TV UK.
