ZEE TV to revive ‘Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai’

ZEE TV has confirmed that its popular celebrity chat show ‘Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai’ will be returning to screens later this month.

The only difference this time around will be that the upcoming episodes will focus primarily on TV stars. The previous series, last shown in 2003, boasted of Bollywood guests like Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai and Dilip Kumar and the show became a monster hit for the channel.

Speaking to DNA, producer Shashi Ranjan confirmed the news, Yes, it۪s true that Jeena_۪ is making a comeback; only this time around it۪s going to focus on TV stars instead.۝

So will the new version stick to the earlier format? Replies Shashi. Certain elements are bound to stay. For example, we۪ll still cash in on the nostalgia, the emotions, walking down memory lane and the surprise factor.۝

The new series of the show will also see Roshan Abbas return to ZEE TV after a gap of nearly two years (he was last seen in Cinestars Ki Khoj۪ also shown on ZEE TV). The show’s previous presenter Farooque Sheikh could be seen quizzed on the show this time around but the producer has not confirmed this as yet.

However, he۪s yet to decide as to who would appear on the very first episode of this one hour t̻te--t̻te that will be aired on Saturdays in the prime time slot. It۪s too early to say that,۝ he says, but not without revealing some of the names who have agreed to be a part of the show.

Some guests that will be appearing on the new show will be Ram Kapoor, Satish Shah, Sanjeev Kapoor, Rohit Roy, Sharad Kelkar, Maaninee Misshra, Apara Mehta, Pallavi Joshi, Mandira Bedi and Poonam Dhillon.

‘Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai’ goes live on Sunday 15th October at 20:00 (UK) and on Saturday 14th October at 20:00 (India). The programme will air for one hour every week.
