ZEE TV will be launching its new fiction ‘Neeli Chhatri Wale’ in a weekend slot, starting later this month.

The show produced by Ashwini Dhir, has been described as the television version of Bollywood film ‘OMG’. Its about Bhagwan Das, a middle-aged, middle class man based out of Kanpur is constantly torn between his personal and professional life. One day, a smartly dressed man carrying a blue umbrella emerges, a man who embodies Lord Shiva.

In India, the show will air from next weekend (30th / 31st August) at 20:00. Incidentally the slot has not done well for ZEE TV’s previous shows ‘Gangs Of Haseepur’ and ‘Bh Se Bhade’. It remains to be seen if ‘Neeli Chhatri Wale’ will do any wonders.

‘Neeli Chhatri Wale’ launches on ZEE TV UK on Saturday 7th September at 21:00.
