ZEE TV to drop weekend afternoon movies from May

In a strategic move to attract more eyeballs to its film channel, ZEE Cinema, flagship service, ZEE TV will be dropping its weekend afternoon movies in May.

Notably, the afternoon movies (midday)��have been a staple of ZEE TV UK’s schedule since the channel’s start in the UK in the 90s. With this change, the only movie slots that will remain on ZEE TV will be the midnight and Saturday night blockbuster slots at 21:00.

From May, omnibus editions of popular dramas ‘Afsar Bitiyan’ and ‘Punar Vivaah’ will take the Saturday and Sunday midday slots respectively.
