ZEE TV UK has confirmed to BizAsia.co.uk that it is shifting costume drama ‘Shobha Somnath Ki’ to the weekends to accomodate the launch of new drama ‘Hitler Didi’.
‘Hitler Didi’ is produced by Ila Bedi Dutta’s Trilogy Krikoi. The show focuses on the struggles of a working girl who handles her family and her profession together. It stars Rati Pandey as the lead star of the show. Pandey was last seen on Star Plus’ show ‘Jee Le Ye Pal’.
‘Shobha Somnath Ki’ was launched with much fanfare in July as part of ZEE TV’s huge rebrand but has failed to deliver in terms of ratings. The channel has decided to push it further by giving it a prime weekend slot.
‘Hitler Didi’ launches on ZEE TV UK on Tuesday 8th November at 21:30 (a day after it launches on ZEE TV India). ‘Shobha Somnath Ki’ will become a bi-weekly from Saturday 12th November. It will Saturday and Sunday nights at 21:00.
Another new show ‘Afsar Bitiya’ is expected to launch in November but BizAsia.co.uk awaits details of its arrival.
